We will host a WAYFARER EVENT on May 8th 2014 near The Bodensee (Swiss side).
And guess what?
It's the day before the Swiss Mega Event 2014!
Now we only have to find the cutest place to hold it.
All ideas welcome! :)
Maybe a chance for many of you to become a Geo-Wayfarer...

Thanks to a helpful visitor of the Groundspeak forum, I found this very neat website:
www.geotrib.es If, like me, you have many trackables roaming around the planet, it's not always easy to get a clear picture of where they all are. With geotrib.es, you get a world map with all your TBs pinned down. Great to follow your favorite critters around. You event get the trail when you click on the TB. My best find on this New Year"s Eve! See you next year! thx Bear & Ragged Both events are up and running! All the best to all of you. See you next year and enjoy the end of year festivities! :) Second event up for review today.
We're very proud to announce a Wayfarer Event in Australia. It will be held in Sydney and we will bring heaps of TBs gathered at the previous French event for a race. For this event, like for the French one, I will not be alone as husband "Ewilund le Comtois" and geodaughter "Morgane la Chipie" will join me. We are thrilled to meet with OZ cachers during our "once in a lifetime" Downunder Holiday. See you on February 1st 2014! Ok, that's not true. Rolf is not the slightest bit evil. However I do suspect some neuronal connections are a trifle twisted. Rolf, from South Africa, makes puzzle boxes. After having lots of fun, at the Wayfarer Event #2, trying to open two of his boxes, I got to meet the man himself with two new brain melters. A "Shadow Box" is now in my custody for upcoming Wayfarer Events. Will you take on Rolf's Evil Challenge and discover the unique geocoin inside? Only valiant Wayfarers will be able to sign the log inside the box. The Shadow Box will soon be available on the Capri Cache Store... Don't be scared of a Shadow... Boxes are available on http://www.capricachestore.co.za The L.A. event has just ended and the logbook got some more beautiful artwork.
Special mention to Schloboo who had come prepared with pens and drawings to paste. But many other cachers were quite creative as well. Beautiful additions to the Wayfarer story. Thanks to all Californians who attended! Aloha! You're off to a geocaching spree? Two option are yours: paperless geocaching or "print if off" caching.
If you're an adept of the second option, you might be overwhelmed by sheets floating off in your geobag. You might find this script useful: http://georoadbook.vaguelibre.net There, you can load your GPX and get, in return, a dedicated roadbook. You'll have a table of content, hints (decrypted or not), logs (or not), description (short and/or long), pix and so on... Hope you enjoy it! And many thanks to its inventor Surfoo! original post here (in French): http://france-geocaching.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2246 The Wayfarer Event #2 just ended a little while ago.
What an incredible evening for me! I was happy to hold an event here from a geocaching point of view. But it ended up being a wonderful gathering from a human point of view, where I got to meet such lovely people. We were blessed to have witty GeoKids too who drew ladies, globes, treasure maps and skylines on the logbook. We also were joined by two Reviewers and for many cachers, this was the 4th event of the day. Can't say South African Geocachers aren't social! I was thrilled by the gifts (take a look at this magnificient Mega Geocoin) and overwhelmed by the warm welcome. Would love to see you guys again! Thanks to all! More to come soon on the dedicated page. |
